I've been here for exactly 2 weeks and for the first time it rained in Perth. :)
Anyway, I've been at work 3 days. My manager has been away 1/2 that time, so I'm struggling to work out what it is I'm doing. The job is with audio technology. The problem is I'm the only one working on a reworking of some existing software. The existing program, with all its jargon is hard enough, but I have to adapt new concepts. Big responsibility... Still it's more interesting that some other jobs I've done.
I did what you suggested last night and unplugged everything and re connected things and still the cursor would not move
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon I phoned Ross Newcombe who suggested I press Control Alt Delete & a box came up (hadn't done anything when I'd tried it before )
with Dad & password on it - but puting Dad's current and old passwords still did nothing - after pressing Enter a message came up saying it couldn't connect.
I was going to phone you tonight to ask what else to do but when I plugged it in again and pulled the connection for the USB hub from the back of the computer and put it in again ( same as I had done last night!) Lo and behold it worked and the cursor moves again!
Dad doesn't know what to do without being able to use the computer!
